When you are at an event and the entire room is singing and dancing along to ATP, you just know you‘ve come to the right place!

Last weekend, I attended the 1st Moderators‘ Day in Cologne, and I was completely blown away by the high quality of skill, professionalism, creativity, and performance shown by the organisers and attendees alike.

The event, initiated by Kerstin Stromberg, Head of Deutsche Moderatorenakademie, had so many fun and eye-opening experiences and activities in store. I got to be a drop of water, high-five the Lidl app, and host a fictitious panel on burnout, banana consumption, and neighborhood pharmacies on the fly during a highly entertaining improv session.

I was impressed by Klaus-Jürgen “Knacki” Deuser‘s keynote on humour as a future skill and gained valuable input during a deep-dive session on marketing for moderators.

A true highlight was engaging with so many interesting and incredibly talented fellow moderators, who made me laugh out loud and had so many interesting and profound things to say.

After an inspiring and truly motivating day I went home with a full heart, already looking forward to next year’s follow-up!
