To mark today's International Translation Day, which I am celebrating for the 19th time this year as a member of the BDÜ, I had to dig deep into my personal archives, and I’m proud to present my website over the years!

A lot has happened since I started my own business in 2006, but the corporate identity, i.e. the squoval logo and the powder blue colour, have remained the same.

For conference interpreters, September is the month when we resume work after the summer break.

And if you follow the posts marked with the hashtag #ITD, you’re in for a treat: Every year on

30 September, the professional association of translators and interpreters and my colleagues provide an insight into our professional lives and highlight the special tasks and challenges we face in interpreting and translating. A special initiative is the #VKD4Trees running campaign, which is now in its fifth year. From 27 September to 5 October, running enthusiasts among our members can rack up the kilometres! The VKD will donate one tree for every 10 km a person has run. I, too, am taking part again this year to help our VKD forest grow.
