At the end of the year I usually like to post the most memorable and wonderful assignments of the past 12 months. But due to the pandemic, most events took place online to reduce physical contact, so the various forms of professional distance interpreting are somewhat memorable as well. After all, they are characteristic for our situation during COVID-19. One of the most memorable remote interpreting assignments took place via Zoom and from my own premises due to public health restrictions. But I was also at a consecutive assignment, masked and on site. Other in-person assignments under strict pandemic measures were the MS Teams meeting at the client‘s premises, but in a deserted office building and a hybrid event from a single, i.e. one-person booth. And last, but certainly not least, I enjoyed working from a professionally equipped remote interpreting hub, with support from technicians on site.
I will take a short break and be back and raring to go on January 3, 2022. Thank you for the pleasant cooperation during this challenging, but also exciting year.
